Requirements
It is recommended that you install
Open-Xchange on a new dedicated or virtual server, especially if you have more than one Plesk server. However, if you only have one Plesk server and you do not anticipate any growth, technically it is possible to have Open-Xchange installed on the same machine. 4PSA can help you install and deploy the Open-Xchange resources you need to sustain any infrastructure.
Open-Xchange does not change the Plesk email server, yet adds its functionality to the existing infrastructure. This means that your customers will need to login to the Open-Xchange web interface instead of the old webmail. The entire process will remain transparent and will bring no changes in the email server settings or current flows.
When you install the OXtender module in Parallels Plesk Panel, you must first configure the connection to the Open-Xchange server. Once the connection is set up, you will be able to provision your Open-Xchange customers with a click, depending on the level of service the customer wants. The interface integrated in Parallels Plesk Panel also provides usage reports for billing purposes.
OXtender for Plesk can be used in any hosting environment as long as there is a centralized administration authority managing all hosting servers. For more details,
