Hardware requirements are strongly related to the expected load and concurrent calls. PBX Asterisk server, MySQL server and PHP front-end interface are the most intensive components on a 4PSA VoipNow server. We recommend quality server hardware with redundant storage system.
Minimum suggested hardware configuration:
Such a minimal hardware configuration can handle around 500 registered extensions and over 50 calls simultaneously. For a complete list of requirements, including the operating system compatibility, check this document.
4PSA VoipNow is shipped in ready to install templates, compatible with Virtuozzo, in standard and EZ format.
4PSA VoipNow is also available in VMware image format, which can be run under VMware Server, VMware Workstation or VMware Player. It can also be converted to run on VMware ESX using VMware Converter. This image is based on CentOS 5.1 operating system.
Installation can be performed in three ways:
Due to a change in the upgrade algorithm, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to upgrade from any previous version of VoipNow to VoipNow 1.6.3 using the web interface updater! Please use the command line installer for this upgrade.
