Upgrade from DNS Manager 1.4

First of all, you will need a valid SUS subscription for the license used on the server you plan to upgrade.

4PSA VoipNow 1.6.2 Released with New Business Integration Tools

June 9, 2008 - Rack-Soft announced today 4PSA VoipNow 1.6.2, the latest release of the hosted IP PBX server software solution for service providers, call centers, and enterprises. The newest version introduces important features designed to improve user�s interaction and system connectivity, like the CallNow Center, PBX Call API, "no kernel modules" architecture, and backup restore functions.

The new tool for companies of all sizes is called CallNow Center and allows 4PSA VoipNow users to be contacted from the Internet while fully controlling the caller's session. "VoipNow customers can publish a link on their website or include it in the email signature to allow others to get in touch with them. Unlike a simple click2call, which can be triggered through the VoipNow Call API, the CallNow Center allows VoipNow users to control the caller�s session. It was designed for people that interact often with customers, like sales, marketing professionals, support, etc." said Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA VoipNow architect.

The new Call API HTTP interface can be accessed in order to control PBX calls. As PBX Call API access is provided to regular extensions in VoipNow, this module provides further support for plug-in developments. The interface is able to provide basic HTML or rich AJAX output, so the user can watch PBX events in real-time.

The software vendor also focused on virtualized computing with the newest release. "As part of 4PSA commitment to green computing, we invested great effort to simplify VoipNow deployments in service provider environments. In the latest 4PSA VoipNow 1.6.2 version we removed all kernel level dependencies and modified the product to run only in userspace. Even companies using 4PSA VoipNow on dedicated servers take advantage of this change, because they don�t longer have to compile additional kernel modules after each Linux kernel update." added Mr. Carstoiu.

4PSA VoipNow comes in two editions. The Express edition is free for community and is limited to 10 phone extensions, while the Professional edition comes with advanced features, high availability, more extensions, and free technical support. 4PSA VoipNow is also integrated with Parallels Plesk, allowing providers to offer hosting and VoIP under the same package. Prices for the commercial version start from 299USD.

4PSA will soon drop support for Fedora Core 4, Fedora Core 5 and Suse 10.0 operating systems in 4PSA VoipNow builds. Customers are strongly recommended to upgrade to newer Linux distributions which are still supported by their respective vendors. 4PSA will provide replacement builds compatible with the latest distributions available.

We recommend to all customers to choose for upgrades distributions designed for servers, which are supported by the vendor more than 36 months. 4PSA will release new software builds only for these distributions.

4PSA VoipNow Provides Integration with Parallels Plesk Control Panel and Delivers Hosted PBX Services to Business and Residential Users

20 May 2008 - Rack-Soft announced on Monday, during the Parallels Summit 2008 held in Washington DC, that it signed an agreement with Parallels for the distribution of its flagship product, 4PSA VoipNow. Parallels is a worldwide leader in virtualization and automation software for hosting service providers.

4PSA VoipNow, the popular PBX software for service providers and enterprises, has been integrated with Parallels Plesk Control Panel and delivers communication services for end users via the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. We want to let you know that 4PSA VoipNow 1.6.1 is available. The latest version adds new features and fixes bugs discovered in the VoipNow 1.6 branch.

The most important new features are:

- Backup capabilities integrated in the interface. The backup module provides incremental backups support and remote storage capabilities.

- Call API capabilities. Administrators, clients and extensions can use the call API to watch PBX events in realtime time or control PBX features. The call API provides an Asterisk Manager interface, isolated on login level, which can be configured from the VoipNow online interface.

- Single Sign-On support. Your customers can share the same login between VoipNow servers, using the Single Sign-On functions. They can also share the same login with third party products, like Parallels Plesk or Parallels Sitebuilder.

January 23, 2008 - Rack-Soft launched today 4PSA VoipNow 1.6, the latest release of the hosted IP PBX software server solution for service providers, call centers, and enterprises. Designed to better address business needs, this version is shipped with more than 20 new features, like SIP presence support, IAX channels interconnectivity, Paging, Intercom, outgoing call screening, advanced groups support, and key improvements in reporting and billing modules.

SIP Presence allows extensions to monitor the status of phone terminals. SIP phones can be configured to display on multi color LED buttons what other extensions in the company are doing."As 4PSA VoipNow is a multitenant PBX solution, presence messages are isolated between clients. October 8, 2007 - Rack-Soft announced today the latest version of the hosted PBX solution for Internet Service Providers, Hosting Service Providers, and enterprises. 4PSA VoipNow 1.5 includes calling cards and callback features, prepaid billing capabilities, outgoing routing rules control on customer level, many enhancements in the system management process, new SOAP API functions, more powerful IVR administration capabilities, and over fifty other new features and improvements. The new release increases productivity, improves user interaction, and provides new business opportunities to xSP market.

The new prepaid billing is effective even on concurrent calls. All accounts on the reselling chain are charged simultaneously, in real time, for phone calls made by their extensions. "4PSA VoipNow supports both prepaid and postpaid billing. With postpaid billing the provider is able to enforce usage limits to prevent abuse, while prepaid billing guarantees that the client can spend only the amount available in his account. The account can be recharged in seconds using the system�s web interface or through the SOAP API, from third party applications", said Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA VoipNow architect.

4PSA VoipNow 1.5 focuses on delivering new services and helping providers expand their business. "The callback and calling card extensions are designed to help our customers setup calling card and callback services without additional investments. With minimal technical knowledge, the time required to design, deploy, and test such services is reduced to several hours. 4PSA VoipNow 1.4 Simplifies Hosted PBX Business

March 21, 2007 - Rack-Soft announced today the most comprehensive update of 4PSA VoipNow released so far. With more than thirty new features and functions, 4PSA VoipNow 1.4 is the new version of the popular hosted PBX platform for Internet Service Providers and Hosting Service Providers.

The new 4PSA VoipNow version comes with a phone provisioning module, hardware interfaces integration, incoming calls billing capability, call parking and pickup support, improved routing rules, new SOAP API functions, account management optimizations, interface improvements, new IVR (Interactive Voice Response) applications, and many other new features.

The phone provisioning module supports devices from Cisco, Linksys, Snom, and Grandstream. "The ability to provision phones through the web interface is interesting for providers of hosted PBX services because it automates the tasks involved in configuring and maintaining a large number of devices. The provisioning module is based on a scalable design and allows new phones and vendors to be easily added in the next 4PSA VoipNow releases based on customer requests. As long as the SIP device comes with such an option, we will be able to make it connect to the 4PSA VoipNow provisioning module.", said Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA VoipNow architect.

4PSA VoipNow 1.4 is able to work with Zaptel hardware interfaces. These can connect the server to a PSTN network through analog or digital phone lines. Businesses can use inexpensive hardware cards to keep costs under control and to scale the infrastructure as they grow. Media converters or external SIP carriers are no longer required. "A provider that uses 4PSA VoipNow can choose from over fifty interface cards available from various vendors. The card must be inserted into the server and the first call through the PSTN network can be made in several minutes. Channel management is equally easy for all types of cards, whether a four channels analog or a digital E1 card is used.", added Mr. Carstoiu.

Even more parameters can be controlled through the 4PSA VoipNow 1.4 SOAP API interface. With the new version, the PHP client released under GPL by Rack-Soft to demonstrate the software API features has also been updated.

4PSA VoipNow 1.3, Text to Speech and New Features

November 8, 2006 - More than thirty new features were incorporated in the 4PSA VoipNow 1.3, the latest version of the Rack-Soft�s VoIP control panel solution for Hosting Service Providers and Internet Service Providers.

4PSA VoipNow 1.3 enhances the control of business processes. The service provider is able to better track and limit the telephony accounts� use of resources. It is possible to define the IVR, Queue, Queue agents, Voicemail center, Conference, etc access policies on any account, allowing the provider to scale services with client needs.

The third-party interaction also improved. Integrators can access more 4PSA VoipNow core features using the SOAP API. Providers are able to add services to the 4PSA VoipNow interface through the new custom buttons API, which can be accessed by all users. In order to provide better margins to the reseller chain, clients are able to customize billing plans with their own billing prefixes. Public phone numbers can be easier deployed to resellers due to the new stacked public phone numbers feature, which allows DIDs to be assigned automatically.

Currently highly appreciated by users due to the scalable design and easy management functionalities, the 4PSA VoipNow IVR welcomes the text to speech feature. Text to speech is based on the Cepstral engine and can deliver interactive voice response menus in US English, UK English, Italian, Canadian French, German, and Americas Spanish. The multiple choices of female and male voices simplify the deployment and management of IVRs. A new range of dynamic applications can be designed without being necessary to pre-record hundreds of sound files.

Rack-Soft presents the new 4PSA VoipNow version only three months after the last version release. 4PSA VoipNow is a telephony software solution designed for Linux operating systems, which allows HSP (Hosting Service Providers) and ISP (Internet Service Providers) to deploy cost effective, advanced VoIP services to residential and business customers. 4PSA Spam Guardian 3 for Plesk is Available

July 10, 2006 - 4PSA Spam Guardian 3, the latest version of the most advanced spam filtering solution for Plesk servers is available, announced Rack-Soft, the server software provider.

4PSA Spam Guardian 3 improves a mature solution used by thousands of Plesk server administrators. The new version gained extra email filtering speed, is more accurate in spam detection, and features new management options for both the administrator and the hosting service customer.

A score is assigned to the email based on the message probability to be spam. The spam detection engine is now able to tag emails with a spam score higher than a value setup by the customer and to automatically drop emails with a score higher than another predefined value. Due to this new feature, users do not have to worry that the spam filter will drop important messages. The customer can adjust settings independently on domain or mailbox level.

Spam messages are disturbing, even if they are filtered and tagged accordingly. In order to limit their impact on overall productivity, spam messages can be saved in an IMAP folder for a later review or for automatic processing.

The server administrator can define custom spam filtering rules from the web interface. Messages that contain forbidden phrases or words in subject, headers or body can be assigned a custom spam score. This makes it very easy for the 4PSA Spam Guardian engine to filter immediately a particular class of unwanted messages.

The server administrator is also able to adjust global spam engine preferences, like the Bayesian filter learning model, the auto-learn thresholds, the collaborative spam learning network checks, whitelists, blacklists, and the trusted networks.
