This guideline is targeted at Virtuozzo/OpenVZ server administrators. The information below requires medium Linux knowledge. After reading this document, you will be able to prepare Virtuozzo Hardware Nodes for 4PSA VoipNow installation. The preparation of a hardware node for 4PSA DNS Manager can take no more than 5-10 minutes. The advices below DOES NOT affect system integrity, stability or performance.
4PSA DNS Manager 3.0.0 can be installed on Virtuozzo/OpenVZ VPS. As long as you adjust the VPS configuration to match the system usage, the performance is not affected by virtualization. 4PSA DNS Manager is shipped in Virtuozzo standard and EZ templates, which simplify the software deployment.
In order to be able to install and use 4PSA DNS Manager on VPSes, you must prepare the Hardware Node.The operation is outlined below.
The templates can be installed like any other Virtuozzo templates, from command line or from VZCP. In order to install 4PSA DNS Manager in a VPS, you must install all template packages that start with:
dnsmanager*
at the same time.
The 4PSA DNS Manager Virtuozzo templates can be downloaded from:
http://dnsmanager.4psa.com/vzdns
After installation you can start using 4PSA DNS Manager. Change your browser to:
https://<vps_ip>:8550
and login with:
Username: admin
Password: welcome
Please change the password after your first login. For further details please refer to 4PSA DNS Manager User's Guides, that can be download from:
Hardware Node: 4PSA DNS Manager is compatible with Virtuozzo 2.62 and higher versions, running on all supported Operating Systems.
VPS Operating Systems: It is compatible with CentOS 4.x and CentOS 5.x on EZ templates. On standard templates, the following packages can be used:
- ce4-p8 (i386)
- ce4-p4 (x86_64)
