Starting with version 4, 4PSA Clean Server features the 4Grid technology. This means that technically it is possible to install the ClamAV antivirus engine on another server, and 4PSA Clean Server will connect to this server in order to scan messages. If you want to have the antivirus engine on the same machine, you will have to install ClamAV antivirus locally. 4PSA Clean Server 4 is packaged in the following installation formats:
RPM packages for RPM capable Linux distributions. Available at http://plesk.4psa.com/downloads/
Shell installer for Debian, Ubuntu and FreeBSD distributions. Available for download in the Support Zone (after login).
Virtuozzo EZ templates for installation on virtualized systems. Available at http://plesk.4psa.com/vz
You can use the installer from http://www.4psa.com/software/4psapleskinstaller.sh in order to install 4PSA Clean Server. Be aware that this installer requires yum, therefore you must have installed yum package manager on your server.
If you want to install the RPM packages manually (not recommended), 4PSA Clean Server RPM packages are available here and ClamAV engine packages are available here.
Follow the steps below to install the product using
4psapleskinstaller.sh:
Log in to your server using SSH from Linux or
Putty from Windows. You have to be logged in as
root in order to install the program.
Create a directory called /usr/local/src.
Download the installer by typing in the shell prompt:
wget http://www.4psa.com/software/4psapleskinstaller.sh
The installation program will be downloaded.
Execute the 4psapleskinstaller.sh installation script by typing:
sh 4psapleskinstaller.sh
Next, follow the instructions on screen.
In this case, you must download 4PSA Clean Server installation script from the Support Zone. To do so, simply click Downloads and download the installation archive.
If you want to install the engine on the same machine, you must first install the engine and then execute the Clean Server installer.
Follow the instructions below to install 4PSA Clean Server:
Log in to your server using SSH from Linux or
Putty from Windows. You have to be logged in as
root in order to install the program.
Create a directory called /usr/local/src.
Decompress and untar the distribution file in /usr/local/src
by typing in the shell prompt:
tar -zxf cserverXXX_buildXXXXXX.XX_OSPleskX.tar.gz
The program will extract a directory which contains the installation script. Change to this directory.
Execute the install.sh installation script by typing:
sh install.sh
Next, follow the instructions on screen.
If you also want to install the ClamAV scanning engine on the same server, execute the steps below:
Log in to your server using SSH from Linux or

Install ClamAV engine by typing:
apt-get install && clamav-daemon"

When you install the product for the first time, the clients are not allowed to access 4PSA Clean Server.
In order to give access rights to your customers, you must login to Plesk as admin and click the 4PSA Clean Server button available in the navigation area. Next, check the Permissions area to give management permissions to your clients.

In order to upgrade the system you must execute the same steps like in the product installation (described above).
