Download the VoipNow Professional ISO image from http://download1.4psa.com/voipnow2/voipnow.iso. The VoipNow Professional ISO image is based on CentOS 5.3 operating system.
Burn the ISO image on a CD using your favorite burner software.
Insert the CD in your computer. It is STRONGLY recommended to use a dedicated computer for this purpose, even if you install VoipNow Professional only for a demo. The computer hard drive might be totally repartitioned during the installation (based on your selection).
Boot from VoipNow Professional CD.
Press <ENTER> when the boot prompt appears if you want to manually partition
your hard drive or write auto partition and press <ENTER> if you want the installer
to automatically partition your hard drive (WARNING: THIS WILL ERASE YOUR HARD DRIVE).
Follow the installer instructions and set the timezone and root password.
The installer will reboot the system and the installed VoipNow Professional distribution will boot. You will be asked to setup the IP address, network mask and network gateway. Make sure that you enter correct settings, otherwise you will not be able to access the server.
To setup a name server you have to perform the following command after you log in
echo "nameserver <dns_server_ip>" >> /etc/resolv.conf
Go to another computer and point your browser to:
https://<server_ip>
Where <server_ip> is the IP of the server you installed VoipNow Professional on.
The VoipNow Professional login screen appears. You can login as the system administrator using:
Username: admin
Password: welcome
Click on the Unified Communications link in the navigation panel and go to System Preferences > Servers page. Fill in all server listen address.
The system cannot connect on localhost.
You can start with the initial configuration steps. Enjoy VoipNow Professional!
